In this globalization era, Indonesia is demanded to be ready to enter the competitive area and gaining the achievement optimally, especially in the human resource development. To achieve that goal, the leadership competence is a must. A leader should capable to manage the organization perfectly. The aim of this study is to measure the effect of emotional competence of corporation leader towards the leadership competence in achieving the organization vision and mission. This research is a case study with PT Jasa Marga (Persero) leaders. The participants of this study are 75 leaders with educational background starting from diploma to doctoral degree. The result shows that emotional competence has an influence to leadership competence. More ever, it is also shown that self-management and social competence influence managerial skill, self-awareness. Further, social awareness
influences conceptual skill, and the other components in emotional competence has no influence to humanistic skill.
